During this quarter one college student was targeted and identified. The girl known as Anna Marko  Mollel (20 years of age) living in Engorika Village , Monduli Arusha in one of the vulnerable family was in a serious danger of getting force marriage because her parents were in process to receive her bride ready for her marriage. The girl together with the Naalarami Village leaders reported the incidence to HYFY for seeking rescue to Anna from forced marriage. HYFY Organization managed to rescue Anna by enroll her in college where she is now attending her accountancy course for three years.

Rosa was forced to marriage by her parents after she complete a secondary education. His father was so much reluctant to allow her to pursue her studies, instead parents forced Rosa to get marriage and they were able to receive a bride in terms of cows. Rosa was married to a man who was not of her choice but chosen by her parents. HYFY Organization visited both Rosa and her husband and the Organization spoke to the husband about allowing Rosa to go back to school. After a length of discussion the Rosa’s husband agreed for his wife to continue with studies. HYFY Organization enrolled Rosa in the teaching course at King’ori teachers College where now Rosa is attending her teacher’s course for two years since January, 2023. Rosa says

‘’ Having gave birth at younger age like me doesn’t mean you fails in life and does not mean is end of everything. So if you desire to be a teacher make effort to become a teacher”

Neema was born in 2008 and got impregnated while she was at standard six. HYFY Organization Rosa visited Neema and saw it is true she carries a baby.  The Organization spoke with her about an existing potential for her to go back to school to fulfill her dreams.  Neema was already spent two year missing classes while caring her baby.  Later on HYFY Organization met the school head teacher and he accepted the idea of Neema to repeat her studies. Neema, Head teacher and HYFY Organization both agreed for Neema to go back to school. HYFY Organization bought and gave the scholarstics material and other school items for Neema to go back for her studying. Neema repeated standard six and completed her standard seven last year 2022. Neema passed well her primary school examinations and she was enrolled to join a boarding secondary school with the support and assistance from the HYFY Organization.

Janet Amos Odero is a beneficiary  girl being supported  by the HYFY organization under wezesha mama na mtoto program. Janet is  19 years of age she has completed a form four education. Initially she was not able to pursue a high level education as her father was attacked by eye cancer. Her mother is not employed and she involve herself in petty businesses to earn a living for her family. For now Janet has selected to take vocational trainings and she is taking  AUTO ELECTRICITY COURSE IN VETA COLLEGE

This is Careen Samuel, a first-year student of Public Health and Administration at BWIMA Institute of Health and Allied Sciences in Mwanza, Tanzania. She is expected to graduate in 2027, as her course spans three years.
Careen was raised by a single mother in a family of two children. She couldn’t afford school fees, but thanks to HYFY’s support, she is now able to pursue her studies.
She has promised to work hard, and as HYFY, we have high hopes for her future after graduation.
