HUDUMA YANGU FURAHA YANGU PROGRAMS

                               

1. Education Support Program

HYFY Program ensures that vulnerable children, especially girls, have access to quality education by covering school fees, providing school uniforms and learning materials, and offering mentorship and life skills training. This initiative also includes counseling and psychosocial support for girls facing challenges such as early marriages or family neglect. Through community engagement with parents and guardians, HYFY promotes the importance of girls’ education and works to reduce school dropout rates.

2. Gender Advocacy Humanitarian Support Program

HYFY Promote gender equality and women’s rights through training workshops, community dialogues, and policy advocacy, the organization educates women and girls on their legal rights while working with men, boys, community leaders to challenge harmful cultural practices. The program provides legal aid and referrals for survivors of gender-based violence and supports marginalized groups, including Maasai women, in overcoming economic and social barriers. This initiative focuses on empowering women to stand up against discrimination and advocate for their rights.

3. Health and Wellness Program

HYFY prioritizes the well-being of women and girls by offering sexual and reproductive health education, menstrual hygiene awareness, and maternal healthcare support. The organization distributes sanitary pads to schoolgirls to ensure they remain in school, provides HIV/AIDS testing and counseling, and supports women living with chronic illnesses. Additionally, maternal health programs equip pregnant women with essential knowledge and resources for safe childbirth and postnatal care. These efforts have improved healthcare access for many women in underserved communities.

4. Economic Empowerment and Livelihood Program

HYFY provides financial literacy training, business development support, and micro-loans to women entrepreneurs. HYFY has established women’s savings and loan groups that encourage cooperative investment and economic self-reliance. Through partnerships with organizations, the program introduces digital tools for business record-keeping, enhancing financial transparency and business sustainability focusing on supporting women to launch and expand successful businesses, ultimately strengthening their economic resilience.

5. Gospel Outreach Program

HYFY integrates faith-based approaches in its mission by organizing community gospel outreach programs to promote spiritual growth and well-being. Christian counseling sessions are offered to women and girls facing hardships, providing them with emotional support and guidance. The program partners with local churches to strengthen community ties and encourage values that promote gender equality, social justice, and personal development.

1. Back to School Project

This initiative ensures that vulnerable children, especially girls, have access to quality education by providing school fees, uniforms, and learning materials. It also offers mentorship and life skills training to help students develop confidence, resilience, and leadership skills. In addition, the project conducts awareness campaigns to educate communities on the importance of girls’ education, aiming to reduce school drop-out rates due to early pregnancies, child marriages, or financial hardships. Through partnerships with local schools, social workers, and community leaders, HYFY ensures that girls receive continuous support, including psychosocial counseling for those facing challenges such as domestic violence and neglect.

2.Timiza Malengo Project

This project focuses on empowering teenage mothers by providing them with the necessary support to reintegrate into school, pursue vocational training, and build financial independence. HYFY supports young mothers in returning to formal education through scholarship opportunities and advocacy for school re-entry policies. The project also offers entrepreneurship training, vocational skills development in areas such as tailoring, hairdressing, and baking, and the formation of savings groups to help them build sustainable livelihoods. Additionally, HYFY provides childcare support, allowing young mothers to continue their education or work without financial strain. Through mentorship and counseling, the project helps teenage mothers regain confidence and work towards achieving their goals despite societal challenges.

The project has currently supported reintegrated over 100 teenage mothers back into formal education. Trained 250 young mothers in vocational skills, improving their income opportunities.

3. Mwanamke Inuka Project

HYFY recognizes the critical role of economic empowerment in transforming the lives of women. This project focuses on equipping women with entrepreneurial skills, financial literacy, and business management training. Through capacity-building workshops, participants learn about business development, digital marketing, and investment strategies to enhance their economic stability. The initiative also facilitates the formation of women’s savings and loan groups, enabling participants to access financial resources for starting or expanding small businesses. By fostering a culture of cooperative savings, Mwanamke Inuka strengthens women’s financial resilience, helping them achieve long-term independence and improve their families’ well-being. Additionally, the project promotes women’s leadership in economic decision-making at the community level, advocating for gender-inclusive policies that support women in business.

The project has currently empowered 357 women with entrepreneurship skills and formed 11 women’s economic groups to promote cooperative savings and investment.

4. Sauti ya Mwanamke Project(GENDER)

This gender advocacy project is dedicated to amplifying women’s voices in the fight against gender-based violence (GBV) and discrimination. HYFY implements awareness campaigns, community dialogues, and media advocacy to educate society on women’s rights, legal protections, and the impact of GBV. The initiative also provides direct support to survivors of violence, including legal aid, psychosocial counseling, and referrals to safe shelters. In collaboration with local authorities and human rights organizations, HYFY engages men, youth, and community leaders in discussions to challenge harmful gender norms and promote gender equality. Through leadership training and capacity-building workshops, the project empowers women and girls to take an active role in advocacy, policy-making, and community development.

The project has currently reached over 1682 women and young girls trained in human rights, and gender equality and successfully advocated for policy changes at the local level to protect vulnerable women.

5. Church Planting Project

HYFY is dedicated to spreading the Gospel and supporting marginalized communities in rural areas through faith-based initiatives. This project focuses on planting churches in underserved regions, where access to spiritual guidance and community support is limited. In addition to evangelism, the initiative promotes holistic development by integrating social support programs such as counseling for women and youth, community prayer gatherings, and mentorship programs for spiritual growth. Through partnerships with local churches, HYFY empowers faith leaders to advocate for social justice, promote moral values, and provide a safe space for individuals seeking hope and transformation.

6. Afya Bora Project

The project focuses on improving the health and well-being of women, girls, and marginalized communities by providing essential healthcare services, sexual and reproductive health education, and psychosocial support. HYFY conducts community health screenings, maternal health education, and menstrual hygiene awareness while distributing sanitary pads to schoolgirls to ensure uninterrupted education. The project also offers HIV/AIDS testing, prenatal and postnatal care support, and counseling for survivors of gender-based violence. By training community health volunteers as peer educators, Afya Bora strengthens local capacity to promote hygiene, disease prevention, and overall wellness.

7. Faraja Project 

The focuses on providing humanitarian support to individuals and families in need by conducting home visits. During these visits, we deliver essential items such as food, clothing, and other necessities to help those facing difficult circumstances. The primary goal of the project is to alleviate suffering and ensure that vulnerable individuals are able to live with dignity, even in the face of hardship. By engaging with local communities, we ensure that support reaches the most marginalized and those experiencing the greatest need, providing them with both material and emotional support during challenging times.
